Audit Senior Staff

Location: Centennial, CO

We are accepting applications for a well qualified Senior Staff Auditor to join our growing CPA firm in the Denver Tech Center. We are currently well staffed and are not considering candidates unless they meet the required qualifications stated below. Please do not apply if you do not meet all criteria noted below.

As a Senior Auditor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain more experience, more responsibility and greater opportunity earlier in your career.
  • Work directly with partners and managers, providing audit and business advisory services to clients.
  • Gain experience and training in various areas, including audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting research.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses and industries by having direct client interaction while working on multiple aspects of an engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation of audit workpapers.
  • Develop effective and proactive relationships with clients to provide superior client service
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
  • Ability to learn software systems including ProSystem fx Engagement, fixed assets and tax
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Works as an effective team member to complete projects and tasks
  • Develops technical skills both on the job and through formal learning channels
  • Ability to critically and analytically assess different situations/transactions to come up with solutions.
  • Drafts client reports and effectively document work
  • Performs research on accounting principles and client questions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and clients.
  • Builds strong working relationships at peer and client levels

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS TO BE CONSIDERED:

  • Attained Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university
  • Required at least two years public accounting experience with specific experience in performing financial statement audits of non-profit organizations.
  • Must be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary team
  • Team player with a positive "can do" approach
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Solid verbal and communication skills
